Aluminum pipe stopping plugs available

The Pipestoppers Div. of Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Ltd. has launched a range of aluminum pipe stopping plugs.

The plugs are available in 1.5-, 2.0-, 2.5-, 3.0-, 3.5-, 4.0-, 4.5-, 5.0-, and 6.0-in. sizes. They have full-length, -in. BSP waterways, giving adequate thread length for wing nuts and sealing caps or hose connections.

The company also manufactures plug sizes with extended shafts, allowing for the manufacture of double plugs for extra leak tightness and stability. If the pipe is covered by a fascia or border, the longer shaft length allows operators to install the seal inside the pipe while still expanding the plug clear of the obstruction.

Using a wing nut with a friction-free washer simplifies plug tightening without the need for tools that may break the wing off inferior nuts.
