CAD/CAM nesting software enhanced

Jetcam Intl. has announced the release of version 16.06.00 of Expert CAD/CAM nesting software for punching and profiling machines.
Tool teach facilities have been added, which allow the company's Expert Premium systems to learn a user's tooling or profiling preferences. Once the preferences have been learned, further parameters can be applied, such as the ability to allow or deny part mirroring or rotation. All subsequent parts that are tooled in the future that require the saved tooling style then can be processed automatically.
Import filters are available for SolidEdge®, SolidWorks®, and Autopol CAD systems. When used in conjunction with the company's automated features such as SCAP (single component automatic processing), the user can import, tool, and nest complete directories of CAD files and generate NC code.
Finishing cut sequences have been enhanced with features such as separate horizontal and vertical settings for start corner and direction. Other features include web nesting, a number of machine-specific features, and support for several new machines.
The new version is available free to all customers with a current maintenance contract.
