Band saw suitable for light-duty tube, pipe cutting

The H235 band saw from Kalamazoo Machine Tool is suitable for light-duty cutting of tubes, pipes, light structural shapes, and small solids up to 8 in. at 90 degrees.

The variable-speed blade runs from 65 to 320 FPM and miters up to 60 degrees to the right while maintaining the material inline. The drive uses a single-phase power supply and powers a 230-V, three-phase drive motor.

The drive motor is coupled directly to a worm gear drive for smooth power transmission. The unit's heavy-duty construction, which includes carbide saw guides and guide supports, helps to ensure accurate and straight cuts, the manufacturer states.

The saw features manual saw frame raise/lower; manual vise; hydraulic/solenoid-powered downfeed; and status indicators for power on, correct blade tension, broken blade, and band wheel cover open.
