CNC tube bending machine uses computer controls for complex bending

A CNC tube bending machine from Nissin, offered by North American distributor KGK International Corp., uses computer controls to produce complex bending angles and radii. The computer controls are used in place of conventional components such as rolls or bending dies.

The machine's patented design allows quick and accurate establishment of new part programs, the company reports. Operators can produce angles of more than 270 degrees with configurations that include large-radius bending and spiral-form bending.

The machine is available in three models to produce in. dia. to 2 3/8 in. dia. With an optional attachment, the machine can accommodate 5/16 in. dia.

Applications include outdoor and office furniture, architectural features, and daily operations for contract benders and metal fabricators.
