Fiber laser processes parts automatically from the coil

Dallan S.p.A. offers Dalcos® LXN coil-fed laser systems, designed for production of parts of any batch size automatically from the coil. The fully automatic system is equipped with a decoiling reel, straightener, and feeder that provide the material continuously to the line. It can process coils up to 12,000 or 16,000 lbs.

Available in 1,000- and 1,500-mm widths, the machine has a footprint of less than 300 sq. ft., including the straightener and feeder. It is powered by a 1- or 2-kW fiber laser source.

During the cutting process, the material remains stationary while the laser cutting head moves in the X and Y directions and completes all the required cuts on the strip. As the cut is finished, the part exits the system while the new material is simultaneously fed into the working area.
