Fiber laser system designed for sheet metal cutting - TheFabricator.com

The new PLATINO® fiber laser from Prima Power is a flexible laser cutting machine designed for sheet metal processing. Supplying laser power from 2,000 to 3,000 W, the machine handles a sheet size of 59.06 by 118.11 in.

The working area is accessible from three sides. This open structure simplifies the integration of modular automation equipment into the system, such as pallet changers and automatic material handling and storage.

The machine's synthetic granite frame offers thermal stability and vibration damping. The safe impact protection system (SIPS) protects the machine head from collision with fixtures or workpieces.

Features include automatic nozzle centering, noncontact nozzle distance control, and quick lens change with cartridge system. Options include a rotary axis for pipe and tube cutting, sheet positioning detection, an automatic pallet changer, a compact sheet metal loader, and software packages for advanced programming.
