Flying-optic CO2 laser cutting system has dual shuttle tables

Han-Kwang USA has introduced the FS8025, a flying-optic CO2 laser cutting system with dual shuttle tables, each measuring 26 ft. long by 8 ft. wide.

Powered by a 2.5-, 4- or 6-kW Panasonic laser resonator, the machine is the only laser in the industry on which the cutting head can cover the entire 26- by 8-ft. worktable area without repositioning the table in process, according to the manufacturer.

Features include a Siemens 840D CNC; the manufacturer's Constant Beam Distance System (CBDS); automatic edge detection and sheet-axis realignment; a quick-piercing crossjet system; multipulse piercing; a high-speed cutting head; and synchronized twin servomotors on the gantry with autofocus control.
