Laser cutting machine made for low-volume applications

Hydrapower Intl. Inc. has developed a 600-W YAG laser for shops with low-volume applications in sheet metal and thin materials. The YAG 3015 features an Australian cutting head, enhanced to enable 50 percent higher cutting speeds than previous types, the manufacturer states.

The system is available in 5- by 10-ft. and 5- by 13-ft. sizes. A tube cutting attachment is optional. The operator can load a sheet and go to another job while the laser is cutting unattended.
