Laser cutting system determines cutting speed, acceleration automatically

Mazak Optonics offers the Super Turbo-X Champion laser cutting system available with a 2.5-kW, Type 10 resonator with Eco mode. Built on the company's hybrid platform, the system features a 1,786-lb. workpiece capacity for sheets up to 0.87 in. thick.

The Mazatrol Preview function determines automatically the cutting speed and acceleration from each cutting point to the next and uses integrated technology tables for a variety of materials and thicknesses.

Standard features include a power conveyor to reduce required floor space and three pneumatic workpiece clamps to help position and secure full sheets and remnants during cutting. The platform permits the integration of up to four machines in a modular automation system.
