Laser cutting system suitable for Industry 4.0
- December 9, 2016
- Product Release
- Laser Cutting
Salvagnini offers the L5 laser cutting system, which handles information collected in the field in order to react to input in real time, thus becoming inherently smart, the company states.
It features a new compass structure with advanced kinematic system to achieve acceleration as high as 5 g. In addition, a Dry Cooling cutting head provides gas- and water-free optics cooling.
New features and improvements to the automated devices, such as automatic nozzle change and the process control, make the laser cutting system suitable for Industry 4.0. The machine can recognize when it is not cutting correctly, stop cutting quickly to correct the relevant parameters, and resume work from where it left off.
The AVS artificial vision system uses a camera to align the edges of the blank, take details already produced on the sheet as cutting references, and recover offcuts and use them as the starting format for new nesting patterns.
