Laser system cuts at accelerations up to 6 G

May 9, 2006

The Syncrono 2-D laser cutting system from Prima North America is now available.

The laser cutting machine's laser head is designed with two additional small, linear-driven, parallel kinematic axes on the moving gantry. The design allows the cutting head to cut at accelerations up to 6 G.

The small size of the linear drives and the stiff, lightweight titanium components in the laser cutting head allow it to be moved with low power. In addition, the machine is designed to be vibration-free and provide a constant beam path throughout the 60-in. by 120-in. work area, contributing to greater cutting accuracy.

The system is equipped with a CP laser, manufactured by Prima North America. The system is also equipped with interchangeable optics, allowing it to cut thin and thick metals.
