Laser system cuts thin to thick sheets, cubic components, taps, and chamfers

Mazak Optonics Corp. will introduce the new SuperTurbo-X Mark III RTC 2-D laser cutting system. The machine cuts thin to thick sheets, cubic components, taps, and chamfers to handle a variety of laser-cut parts. A rotary table is standard equipment for cutting round pipe up to a maximum diameter of 14.76 in. and square tubes up to 6 in.

The machine includes chamfering and integrated tapping capabilities. Z travel of 16.14 in. enables the user to laser-cut preformed parts and other 3-D shapes requiring greater cut height.

The laser cutting system is available in 2,500- or 4,000-W configurations and accepts up to a 5- by 10-ft. sheet of flat material. It can be delivered with automated material handling systems, including load/unload cells and FMSs.

Features include intelligent setup functions for automated nozzle spatter removal, a three-station nozzle changer, and focal point measurement and adjustment capability. In addition, a Servo Focus Torch helps reduce piercing time and increase productivity.
