Laser system designed for 3-D metal processing

Jenoptik’s Lasers & Material Processing division offers the JENOPTIK-VOTAN® BIM (beam in motion) robot-based laser machine for cutting and welding metals.

The system features a laser robot arm in which the laser beam delivery is fully integrated. The laser beam is coupled in through the robot foot so that the transport fiber does not need to be moved within the working space, helping to minimize system maintenance and footprint.

The small laser cutting head can access narrow areas. The system features a repeat accuracy of +/-50 μm. Its components are modular, so they can be arranged within the space to suit the processing task.
