New control system added to fiber laser cutting system

The NTC TLH series fiber laser processing system from Komatsu features a new control system and teach pendant to help simplify operations.

The 06R controller provides touchscreen activation and an easy-to-read screen. The new teach pendant has a response time of 0.5 sec. Its safety interface ensures that two hands are on the pendant with automatic shutoff should one hand be removed.

The cantilever-style machine is available in two models: the TLH-414N shuttle pallet system and the TLH-408N with 110-in.-dia. rotary table. Cutting speed can reach up to 1,575 IPM. The series features an IPG fiber-optic-generated and beam-delivery system with 3-kW power option for cutting thin-gauge mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel up to 0.25 in.

Depending on the model, X, Y, and Z axis travel is up to 177 in., 45 in., and 20 in., respectively, with positioning accuracy within ±0.002 in.
