Open-table CO2 laser machine allows position to be monitored, corrected as needed by the CNC - TheFabricator.com

Bell Laser LLC offers the BL-C-4896-400 open-table, CNC laser machine. The rigid, precision-cutting machine features a ball-screw servomotor drive that serves as a closed-loop feedback system, allowing the position to be monitored and corrected as needed by the CNC.

The welded steel frame provides stability and rigidity to help ensure minimal vibration during laser processing. The downdraft exhaust pulls smoke and fumes downward and away from the laser-processed materials.

The 400-W, metal tube CO2 laser can process sheet metal and acrylics and has a lifetime of more than 40,000 hours, the company reports. Cutting capacity is 48 by 96 in., with an accuracy of ±0.002 in. per 48 in. and repeatability of ±0.0018 in. Maximum speed is 400 IPM.
