Proprietary features unveiled for multiaxis laser systems

Prima Power Laserdyne has developed SmartTechniques™--new, proprietary features of the S94P controller used in the company’s 795 and 430 multiaxis laser systems.

SmartPierce™ minimizes spatter and provides higher-quality pierce point. SmartRamp™ eliminates indentation at the end of laser welds. SmartStop™ reduces back wall damage during drilling. SmartShield™ provides simultaneous shielding of the laser weld and protection of laser systems optics without mixing the shield and protection gases.

CylPerf™ optical focus control senses thermal barrier-coated surfaces and performs optical probing of metallic and nonmetallic surfaces. ShapeSoft™ is used for producing shaped holes.
