Robotic laser cutting cell’s software simplifies precision path production

ABB offers FlexCutLaser™, a pre-engineered robotic cell for laser cutting applications. Robotic laser cutting uses shape-generating software that simplifies the production of precision paths. The robotic cell can adapt to multiple parts for quick changeover.

QuickMove and TrueMove path planning software enables the robot to meet demanding path-following requirements, the company reports. The cell has a modular, self-contained, palletized design to allow simplified transport, minimized setup time, and flexibility in a limited amount of floor space. Multiple configurations are available.

RobotStudio Cutting Powerpac software allows accurate, offline programming. Robotware Cutting software allows optimized motion control. Using predefined templates for standard shapes such as circles, rectangles, hexagons, slots, and free-forms, the software saves programmers hours of work, says the manufacturer. Programmers can relocate these shapes by shifting a single frame.
