Windows protect high-power refractive and reflective optics

Mate’s Fiber Shield™ windows are designed to protect precision lenses in laser systems. They shield optic components in laser beam delivery systems from debris and fumes during the laser process.

Available in diameters from 0.47 to 2.17 in., the windows are made of fused silica to protect the company’s 1-micron lenses from damaging back spatter and debris. They have tight-tolerance surfaces, diameter, and edge thickness, with clear apertures for maximum absorption and reflection. Their coating protects against dross, oils, and airborne particulates.

The windows are available for most fiber laser systems including Amada, Bystronic, Cy, Cincinnati, Durma, Ermak, Mitsubishi, Precitec, Prima, Salvagnini, and TRUMPF®.
