Industrial boom system extends welding reach

The Lincoln Electric Co. and Genie Industries have jointly designed a boom welding system. Available on the Genie S-80/85, S-60/65, and S-40/45 telescopic booms, the ArcPro 275 helps the operator perform extended welding from the platform.
Powered by a hydraulically driven 208 VAC three-phase generator and closed-loop hydraulic pump, the unit produces 12,500 continuous and 13,500 peak watts of AC power.
The unit comes standard with Lincoln's Invertec® V275-S welding unit, which is capable of both SMAW and GTAW. It provides 275 amps at a 35 percent duty cycle and can be used on a variety of applications, including structural steel and pipe. For added work space, the welding package is located outside the basket, behind the platform decal plate.
Other equipment available for the unit are the Pro-Cut® 25 and Pro-Cut 55 plasma cutters; SP-175 wire feed machine for GMAW on sheet metal up to 5/16 in. thick; and the Invertec V350-PRO and LN-25 wire feeder combination for structural welding or high production requirements.
