Lincoln Electric has introduced the Jessi Combs line of welding gear, tailored and sized for women.
Combs, a skilled welder and fabricator, has appeared on such shows as Discovery Channel's "Mythbusters" and "Overhaulin'." She currently co-hosts "All Girls Garage" and the new "Overhaulin'" on the Velocity Channel.
The first product in the line is the Jessi Combs VIKING™ 1840 Series Amp Angel™ autodarkening welding helmet. It has subtle graphics and features a 3.54- by 4.33-in. cartridge to minimize weight. External, continuous 9 to 13 shade control allows on-the-fly adjustment and continuous sensitivity and delay.
The Jessi Combs women's Shadow™ welding jacket, tailored for women’s sizing, features a cooling front and back flame-retardant panels. A flip-up collar, adjustable snap sleeves, and a snap cinch waist keep spatter out, while two horizontal flap pockets secure personal items.
New Jessi Combs women's Steelworker® gloves are intended for fabrication work or light welding. A hook-and-loop tabbed wrist closure with an expanding elastic band helps ensure a snug, comfortable fit.
