Press brake series expanded to offer machines up to 700 tons

LVD Strippit has expanded its PPEC series of midrange, precision hydraulic press brakes to offer machines up to 700 tons. The higher-tonnage models provide heavier forming capacity and expand the line with machines from 39 tons in bend lengths up to 265 in.

The machines are equipped with the company's CADMAN® Lite control, which offers 2-D graphic programming with automatic collision detection, direct angle input or quick bend programming, and connection with CADMAN-B offline programming software.

Models up to 350 tons feature a welded, one-piece frame machined without repositioning. Hydraulic cylinders are machined from a solid steel billet. Pistons are steel forgings, precision ground and micropolished.

Microprocessor technology is linked to servo-controlled hydraulics and electronics to control the bending process. Double bed-referenced encoders are connected to the bed so that deformation of the side frames during bending does not influence the positioning accuracy of 0.0004 in. of the upper beam (Y1-Y2).
