Touchscreen user interface added to laser cutting systems

LVD Strippit now offers its Touch-L 19-in. touchscreen GUI on its Sirius series of CO2 laser cutting systems. According to the company, the GUI allows routine and complex applications to be completed with minimal operator input.

The large screen features intuitive graphical icons and visual indicators to display functions such as lens and nozzle selection, set point piercing/cutting, cutting head position, and parts nesting. It provides real-time reproduction of the cutting path, guiding the operator through setup and cutting application.

The GUI also incorporates a part-programming and nesting feature that allows users to import parts directly onto the control via a network drive or USB memory stick, apply cutting technology, nest sheets, and cut the nested parts directly at the machine.
