Coolant suitable for machining aluminum alloys

June 25, 2014

Wallover Oil Co. has introduced WS 8800 machining coolant. The chlorine-free, nonfoaming coolant is designed for machining and grinding of ferrous and nonferrous metals including stainless steel, titanium, cast iron, and all alloys of aluminum.

A bioresistant additive controls bacteria and fungus to eliminate odors. Extreme-pressure lubrication helps extend tool life, the company says. The coolant is suitable for central systems and individual sumps, and its nonsticky formulation protects against fouling valves and switches.
