Five-axis machining center features rotary swivel table

The HBZ Trunnion horizontal machining center from Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH is designed for five-axis machining of aluminum, steel, and titanium on table diameters of 31.5, 47.24, and 63 in. As a production machine, it is suitable for automotive, die and mold, toolmaking, machine construction, energy technology, and aerospace applications.

Featuring a rotary swivel table, the machine uses high-power spindles to machine steel and titanium efficiently with torque up to 390 Nm and aluminum at up to 30,000 RPM. The horizontal spindle allows chips and coolant to drop down from the workpiece. The table swivels from -120 degrees to +30 degrees.

Features include a three-point-floor mounting, a double-drive system in the X axis with upper and lower guideways, workpiece-independent linear axes, and direct measuring systems.
