Functions added to contouring control

Heidenhain has released the newest software for the TNC 320 contouring control. The control handles universal milling, drilling, and boring machines, with three axes plus spindle and the possibility of adding another axis.

New functions include straight-line and arc engraving and manual probing cycles. Machine builders can encrypt part of the control's PLC partition to secure the machine manufacturer's proprietary information. External access can be locked, new touch probe configuration parameters have been added, and the integrated oscilloscope can be operated from the NC program.

The control can be integrated into networks and connected with PCs, programming stations, and other data storage devices.
