Handtmann offers HBZ Trunnion 5-axis horizontal machining centers. They feature smaller components than typical HMCs for fast machining of workpieces that require deep pockets and drilled holes.

There is no chip buildup, as they fall out of the cavity. The X, Y, and Z axes travel independently from the workpiece, and the rotary and swivel C and A axes are combined in an NC rotary swivel table. The single-piece machine bed features a three-point floor mounting.

A choice of spindles allows machining of titanium, steel, aluminum, and composite for mold- and die-making, general metal machining, machine construction, energy and power generation, automotive, and aerospace applications.
