Programming simplified on milling machine CNC
Heidenhain Corp. offers the Acu-Rite MILLPWR G2 CNC for milling machines. According to the manufacturer, the control is simple and easy to operate for vertical knee mills while maintaining the same power as its MILLPWR predecessor.
Programming is done via plain language user prompts accompanied by 3-D graphic "help" forms that describe each cycle step. Multiple manur screens have been eliminated to simplify navigation. New features include USB; networking accessibility; solid-model graphics; and a 12.1-in., high-resolution display.
Tool and datum offsets have been expanded for complicated jobs.
