Short-pulse laser for micromachining, precision marking introduced

Teem Photonics has added a laser with 25 percent higher repetition rate and 25 percent shorter pulse to its passively Q-switched PicoSpark™ line of lasers for micromachining and precision marking.
The master-oscillator, fiber-amplified laser now is offered with 50-kHz repetition rate for higher throughput and down to 400-picosecond pulse duration, at 1,064 or 532 nm, to help reduce the HAZ in thermally conductive materials. The laser achieves peak powers of more than 200 kW.
