Turning inserts handle light turning to heavy-duty roughing

WIDIA Products Group offers WIDIA™ Victory™ turning inserts. The line includes 10 grades and 14 different geometries, including five new chip breaker designs, for use on steel, stainless steel, cast irons, and specialty alloys.

The inserts are suitable for light and medium turning tasks up to heavy-duty roughing with heavy, interrupted cuts.

The inserts employ coating technologies that help improve wear resistance and allow for higher speed and feed capabilities, the manufacturer reports. Additional postcoat treatment provides cutting-edge toughness to help reduce the depth of cut notching. The inserts are ground after coating to help provide a secure seating surface.
