Acu-Rite, a brand of Heidenhain, offers the MillPWR^G2 CNC for vertical knee mills. The control is programmed via plain language user prompts that are accompanied by 3-D graphic help forms that describe each cycle step.

Using simplified navigation that eliminates multiple menu screens, the CNC features USB, networking accessibility, solid-model graphics, and 12.1-in., high-resolution display. It uses a 1-GHz processor with 2.5 GB of memory. Expanded tool and datum offsets are suitable for more complicated jobs.
