Automatic load/unload system for turret punch presses retrofittable

LVD Strippit, Akron, N.Y., has introduced the Strippit PA-Series automatic load/unload system, a compact material handling device retrofittable for the company's VX, V, VT, S, and ST-Series CNC turret punch presses.

The device provides continuous, uninterrupted processing. It reduces manual worksheet handling time by as much as 80 percent, the manufacturer states, and processes materials up to 0.140 in.

The PA-1225 supports sheet sizes up to 98.4 by 49.2 in., while the PA-1530 handles materials up to 60 by 120 in., with raw material bundle capacities of 5,511 lbs. and 6,613 lbs., respectively. Both systems work with minimum sheet sizes of 19.69 by 39.37 in.

Both loading of raw material and unloading of finished nests are handled at the front of the unit, away from the loader head, providing forklift access to the pallets from one side.

Standard features include a double-sheet detection device and a sheet separation device.
