Internal combustion forklift introduced

September 27, 2010

Crown Equipment has unveiled an internal combustion Crown C-5 series pneumatic-tire, industrial forklift for heavy-duty and outdoor applications. The class V forklift is equipped with an industrial John Deere Power Systems engine and a dual, open-core radiator that offers independent engine and transmission cooling.

According to the manufacturer, the forklift offers 12 percent more low-end torque than competitive products and delivers a lifespan up to two times longer. The brake pad surface is 90 percent larger than traditional drum brakes.

The machine is available in capacities from 4,000 to 6,500 lbs. All models feature the ergonomically designed FlexSeat™ to help alleviate common operator pressure points.
