Magnetic separators made for metalworking applications

July 23, 2014

Eriez® offers a variety of magnetic separation equipment to remove ferrous chips, parts, and fine contaminants in metalworking applications. Models are available in various sizes, styles, and magnetic strengths.

Magnetic traps remove ferrous contaminants in liquid lines and capture chips and fines from coolant. They can be installed in a machine tool plumbing system to increase purity. Magnetic drum separators use the power of rare-earth magnetic material to separate ferrous parts from abrasive media and other materials. The complete line includes standard models in diameters from 12 to 36 in. and widths from 12 to 60 in.

Magnetic grates, used in coolants, media, and sandblasting, extract small and fine ferrous material. These advanced separators come in an array of styles in both ceramic and rare-earth designs. Magnetic coolant cleaners, available in four models and multiple widths, remove ferrous contaminants from fluid. They can handle up to 600 GPM of water-soluble coolant.
