Self-propelled trailers introduced

March 29, 2011

The Wheelift Systems Group of Doerfer Companies has introduced its self-propelled trailers in capacities to 100 tons and more. The trailers are suitable for in-plant operation in congested, confined areas and narrow intersecting aisles.

Features include remote control operation, low-profile design, onboard power generation, proprietary Uniload® on-center rotation axle assemblies, and Synchrosteer® computerized steering.

Each trailer has two on-center rotation, electronically steered and driven, independent axle assemblies on the front end. At the rear are two fixed-direction, rocker beam-mounted axle assemblies, each with lateral articulation capability to ensure fully equalized load sharing.
