Two-finger gripper provides versatility for high-mix automated manufacturing

Robotiq has introduced the two-finger adaptive robotic gripper for handling a variety of parts in high-mix applications such as light assembly, resistance welding, machine tending, bin picking, and parts transfer.

The gripper provides three distinct gripping modes — parallel, encompassing, and inside grip — to enable handling of different part geometries including flat, square, cylindrical, and irregular. Its high payload-to-weight ratio, coupled with long stroke, enables handling of a variety of part sizes. Precise speed and force controls enable handling of parts of different rigidities, from brittle to deformable to stiff.
