Structural steel offers high strength with light weight

SSAB has introduced Strenx high-strength structural steel. It is designed for applications in which structural strength and weight savings are key competitive factors, such as the lifting, handling, and transportation industries. It also is suitable for use in agricultural machinery, the frames of heavy mobile machines, rolling stock, and the offshore and construction sectors.

With a yield strength of 600 to 1,300 Mpa, the steel is available in plate, strip, and tubular products in thicknesses from 0.03 to 6.30 in.
