Fiber laser makes fast, deep marks

Miyachi Unitek Corp. has introduced the new 50-W LMF5000 ytterbium (Yb) fiber laser marker, which makes fast, deep marks on aluminum, tool steel, copper, brass, and graphite. Applications include high-speed marking, engraving, and deep engraving of metals, thin sheet cutting, and high-speed surface texturing.

The compact system features multiple-language software support, pulse waveform control, selectable laser brightness, and a variety of spot and field sizes. Multiple integration options accommodate stand-alone operation, full production automation, or prototype development.
