Flap, fiber disks engineered for applications from stock removal to blending

Norton has introduced a new line of Norton/Merit flap disks and fiber disks for right-angle grinding.

The SG Blaze® Plus is offered in the "best" tier for top performance; the NorZon® BlueFire&trade is in the "better" tier for a mix of performance and competitive price; and the Merit Metal is in the "good" tier.

The flap disks are available in flat or conical types in sizes from 4 to 7 in. in 0.875-in. plain hole or 0.625-in.-11 discard mount and grits from 24 to 120. Fiber disks are available in 4- to 9.125-in. sizes with grits from 16 to 120.

The disks are engineered for applications from stock removal to blending and are available in Type 27 and Type 29 shapes with fiberglass, plastic, and aluminum backing plates. They feature a full resin bond system with heavy-duty fiber backing for strength, durability, and tear resistance.
