Weld head designed for welding tubes to tube sheets

Orbimatic's P16M orbital GTAW head can be used for welding tubes to tube sheets for applications such as boilers, heat exchangers, and economizers. The weld head uses a mandrel, which is inserted into the tube. The welding torch rotates around the tube to weld the tube to the tube sheet.

The weld head can be controlled by the Orbimat 250C orbital welding power supply, which controls the entire welding cycle. It has an onboard wire feed unit that rotates with the weld head to prevent filler wire distortion. A voltage sensor integrated into the power supply controls the arc gap. The weld torch and head body are water-cooled.
