Welding station designed for tube, pipe prefabrication

The Tiger welding station from Orbimatic is designed for tube and pipe prefabrications. The station incorporates a clamp located on an Easi-Glide X-Y slide. The clamp rotates to allow 45-degree and 90-degree elbows to be welded to tube lengths.

The headstock uses an internal purging and clamping mechanism that allows tube to be welded to fittings and fittings to be welded to elbows. Besides clamping the tube and fitting, the internal clamping system also removes any slight ovality from the tube.

The headstock can be fitted with studs when producing tube with bolted flanges to facilitate bolt hole alignment.

The welding station allows a single operator to handle 6-m lengths of tube or pipe during the welding operation.
