Angle/detail machine offers technology to help optimize productivity

Peddinghaus Corp. has introduced the Anglemaster-HD angle/detail machine. It uses new Smart Cylinder technology that optimizes hydraulic fluid levels for accelerated production, the manufacturer reports.

Equipped with two 169-ton, three-speed punch cylinders with triple tool punches and one 515-ton, three-speed shear cylinder with single-cut tooling, the machine can process angles up to 8 by 8 by 1 in. and flat bar up to 12 by 1 in. Material can be stored outside until production takes place.

Features include roller measurement technology and an automated material dimensioning system that identifies the size of a profile and determines the punch length or shear stroke required for optimized productivity. Sections can be verified before the program is initialized to help reduce operator error.
