CNC for plasma cutting combines multiple-axis controls in one unit

Thermadyne®, the producer of Thermal Dynamics® branded manual and automated plasma cutting systems, now offers the XT series of CNCs. They combine multiple-axis controls in one unit and can be paired with any plasma cutting system.

The CNC features dual-microprocessor control for multitasking capability; integrated control of motion, torch height, and plasma cut parameters; direct download of DXF files; a 15-in., TFT, flat-panel touchscreen; micro-CAD and automatic nesting software; Ethernet interface; a Microsoft Windows® XP operating system; a fully integrated torch height control and collision sensor; and remote troubleshooting capability via the Internet.

The CNC can be specified with any new plasma system from the manufacturer and can be installed on the customer's choice of cutting table. For upgrades or retrofits, the CNC is available with or without drives and servos.
