CNC plasma table combines servo drive, ground linear bearings

Dynatorch will introduce the Super-B CNC plasma table for the 4- by 4-ft. and 4- by 8-ft. machine market at FABTECH 2012.

Featuring a welded steel frame, the machine rides on ground linear bearings on all axes. DC servo drives with encoder feedback close the loop on control to help achieve accurate cuts and high speed.

The linear belt drives with embedded steel cables prevent belt stretch. These AT5 urethane belts are made for automated machinery. Both sides of the gantry are driven to help maintain stability and smoothness at all speeds.

Features include operating software designed for plasma cutting, built-in arc voltage torch height control, and a gold series Z-axis slide. Accessories include a stainless steel water tray, collision detection, a laser locator, and CAD/CAM software.
