Plasma system processes both plates and tubes

AKS Cutting Systems has introduced a system for plasma processing of both plates and tubes. Available on its accu-kut heavy-duty, unitized precision plasma plate cutting system, the tube processing center can perform plasma processing of tube and pipe.
Used in conjunction with the robo-kut plasma beveling head, the system can be used to plasma cut straight or bevel cuts in plate up to 2 in. thick, as well as on tubes and pipes from 2 to 6 in. square, rectangular, or round, and up to 24 ft. long.
Changeover between plate and tube on the compact machine is seamless, according to the manufacturer.
