Carbide-tip cutter line expanded - TheFabricator.com

Hougen Mfg. has expanded its line of Copperhead™ carbide-tip annular cutters with more sizes and depths. The cutters are available in diameters up to 2 in. and depths of cut from 2, 3, and 4 in. With full-length flutes and special tool geometry, the cutters resist wear when cutting high-Brinell-hardness alloys or abrasive materials such as cast iron.

Two styles of shanks are available. The standard two flat shank fits most magnetic drills and can be used with drill presses and machining centers with a spindle adapter. The Copperhead Fusion™ cutters have "fusion groove innovation" shanks for use in magnetic drills having tool-less arbors. The cutters also have two 90-degree set screw flats to fit magnetic drills with standard arbors.
