Hand pads' webbing creates extra strength

September 6, 2013

Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced Norton Bear-Tex® Thin-Flex™ hand pads. They provide increased cutting action through a web structure created by a needling process to allow more pressure to be applied per abrasive grain without extra effort from the user, according to the company.

Flexible for contoured and hard-to-reach areas without the extra bulk of thicker pads, the hand pads are available in very fine and ultrafine grit sizes. They are suitable for a variety of applications in the automotive, maintenance repair operations (MRO), and industrial markets.

The pads are available in 4.5- and 9-in. sizes. Additional sizes are available by special order.
