Hole cutter kits available in metric, fractional sizes

Hougen Mfg. has introduced two new RotaCut™ sheet metal hole cutter master kits. The cutters are designed for use in metal fabrication, maintenance and electrical applications, spot weld removal, plug holes for welding, and production environments.

Each kit is an all-in-one set containing 16 different sizes for drilling holes in materials up to 0.25 in. thick. The fractional kit includes cutters from 0.25 to 0.75 in., and the metric kit includes sizes from 6 to 20 mm. Each kit is packaged in a plastic storage case and includes an arbor assembly, extra pilots, center punch, washers, and instructions.

The cutters can be used in hand-held electric drills with 0.375-in. chucks and in drill presses. They are made of M2 high-speed steel, hardened and precision-ground. The annular or hollow design cuts only at the periphery of the hole, leaving the center as a solid slug of material.
