Designed with a horizontal-motor mount, CS Unitec's new MAB 150 portable magnetic drill is suitable for drilling in tight spaces. The 7-in.-tall, 24-lb. drilling machine features a 9.25-amp, 110-V, double-insulated motor with a no-load speed of 400 RPM. With annular cutters, it drills up to 1.5 in. dia., 1 in. deep in structural steel and other metals. The drill accepts cutters with a 0.75-in. Weldon shank.
The drill is equipped with an integrated, automatic cooling/lubrication system. Its advancing lever can be mounted on the left or right side. An optional ratchet-style advancing mechanism is available for work in spaces with limited clearance.
The high-density, dual-coil magnet has a holding strength of up to 2,640 lbs., providing the pulling power required for heavy-duty drilling. The electronic safety shutoff sensor automatically shuts down the drill motor if the magnet loses contact with the material, protecting the operator and equipment. An internal cable routing system increases safety by helping to protect the motor power cord from external damage.
