Portable beveller is emission-free

March 8, 2005

TRUMPF offers the TKF 1100, a portable, emission-free beveller.

With the beveller, an operator can remove a 0.35-in. beveled edge of high-grade steel or 0.43 in. of steel in a single cutting stroke on sheets up to 0.98 in. thick. The beveller is designed to produce oxide-free, clean K, V, X, or Y edges, even in stainless steel.

The cutting direction can be changed quickly. Curved edges with tight radii starting at 1.57 in., internal profiles, and tubes with internal diameters starting at 3.15 in. can be processed.

The beveller has a quick-release tool changer, and sheet thickness adjustment is accomplished without additional tools. A dial sets the beveled edge height, and the angle is changed by guide bracket options. Worn punching tools can be resharpened repeatedly up to 0.39 in.

The 1,600-W beveller features a two-stage planetary gear set. It can be specified with an optional speed regulator.
