Power feed magnetic drill produces holes up to 1-5/8 in. dia.

Hougen Mfg. Inc. has released the power feed HMD927 portable magnetic drill. It drills holes up to 1-5/8 in. dia. and maintains a small, lightweight footprint while offering a high power-to-weight ratio.

An LED light is built into the base of the magnet, allowing the operator to line up the pilot with the hole’s center location in low- or no-light conditions. Other features include a two-speed motor, two-stage magnet, an arbor system with a 5/8-in. slot drive, an integrated coolant bottle, robust housing design, and positive slug ejection. A swivel-base magnet is available.

Power feed mode is engaged with a hub in the center of the feed handles. Solid-state circuitry monitors and adjusts the self-feed action.
